Bryan is an Accredited Family Law Specialist in the Family & Relationship Law team.

Bryan holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business (with Distinction). He has worked exclusively in family law since his admission in 2017.

Bryan assists clients as their trusted advisor, helping them navigate the legal and personal complexities that arise from changes in their relationships and families. He offers clear and practical advice to help clients make informed decisions and achieve the best possible outcome.

Bryan is well regarded by the profession for his technical excellence and his commitment to family law. In 2023, he was a finalist in the Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards for family law.

Experience

Bryan's experience includes:

  • property settlements, including those with complex corporate and trust structures, third parties and valuation issues
  • asset protection, including drafting financial agreements for parties who are married or in a de facto relationship (or are in contemplation of same)
  • spouse maintenance
  • child support matters, including drafting child support agreements
  • parenting disputes involving family violence, substance abuse and mental health concerns
  • divorce applications.

Career highlights

Bryan's career highlights include:

  • successfully negotiating on behalf of clients to resolve complex financial and parenting matters without the need for protracted litigation
  • successfully obtaining final property and child support departure orders which were favourable to the client in a defended hearing, where there were issues as to financial disclosure and expert valuations
  • successfully obtaining final parenting orders for a client in a defended hearing for sole parental responsibility and sole care of the children, where there were significant issues related to family violence and substance abuse, and enforcement of substantial child support arrears pursuant to the binding child support agreement
  • assisting clients through the Financial Abuse Service at Redfern Legal Centre.
