Malcolm is an accredited specialist in family law who has practised solely in the family law jurisdiction since 2003. In his consultancy capacity, Malcolm provides guidance to our clients throughout their family law journey, including preparing them for court hearings and appointments with experts. Additionally, he supports our national legal team by offering strategic and technical advice, leveraging his extensive family law experience in this role.

Malcolm is also an experienced advocate, who prides himself on being a clear communicator and advisor. He regularly represents our clients at court events and mediations where he consistently achieves favourable results. Clients benefit from Malcolm’s reputation amongst the profession and his calm but commercial approach.

Malcolm has been recognised for his contribution to the legal profession, including being named Lawyers Weekly Family Law Partner of the Year in 2019 and again in 2020. Experience

We will discuss with you whether we consider it the best approach for Malcolm to appear for you directly or to brief a barrister. This decision will depend on the complexity of your matter, the type of court event, as well as your individual needs and preference.

Who will be on my legal team?

As the largest family law team in Australia, our resources mean that we can match each client with appropriately experienced lawyers based on the complexity of the matter, the financial position of the client, and the level of expertise your matter will require. Often, we arrange for a senior and junior lawyer, together with their legal assistants, to work with you. This provides you with multiple contact points at the firm and provides a cost effective offering, with the work divided between the lawyers appropriately.
