Nina Vasiljevic is a Senior Associate in Lander & Rogers’ Insurance Law & Litigation team in Sydney. Nina has practised in insurance and commercial litigation since 2019 and regularly appears in courts across New South Wales, as well as in other Australian jurisdictions. • acting for an insurance brokerage to secure a Federal Court judgment ordering a former executive to pay $500,000 in damages plus costs for breaching post-employment restraints and bringing clients over to a new brokerage
• acting for a major insurer in complex multi-party litigation arising from a catastrophic flood event causing property damage, coordinating claims against multiple contractor parties
• advising an insurer in connection with high-profile product recalls including managing liaison with regulators and technical experts on manufacturing and labelling issues
• acting for the lead insurer in a large-scale property damage claim involving numerous co-insurers and stakeholders, requiring coordinated recovery efforts after a significant loss event
• acting for individuals and companies in overturning denials to insurance claims
• acted directly for various entities to pursue recovery of debts through to judgment stages, whereby a full recovery of outstanding debts was achieved.
